MT4 / MT5 terminal integration

Your platform, in the terminal
your clients already use

You host your own platform and your MT4 and MT5 servers. Terminal Gateway keeps them in sync both ways — one account, the same positions and the same money on both sides. Traders carry on in the terminal they already know, and anyone who wants to move to your own platform can do it at any time, with nothing to migrate.

Both sides run in parallel, permanently. Nobody has to switch — and anyone who wants to, can.

You stay the truth source

Terminal Gateway keeps no ledger of its own. Your platform owns every fact.

Both directions

Trade from the terminal or from your platform — both converge.

Nothing to build

Clients keep the terminal, charts and EAs they already have.

MT4 and MT5 supported

Same protocol, same model, both verified on live servers.

The problem

The traders you want are already on MetaTrader

Their habits, their charts and their EAs all grew up inside MT4 and MT5. What stands between those traders and your platform isn't your product — it's the cost of moving.

01

The switching cost lands on the trader

Moving means giving up chart templates, indicators, EAs and years of muscle memory. However good your platform is, that's a bill you're asking them to pay — and most of them won't.

02

A new client app doesn't win them over

Ship web, desktop and mobile and traders still have to relearn everything. It's a permanent team, and what you get at the end is one more terminal competing for their attention.

03

Letting MetaTrader own the book costs you control

Run MetaTrader as the source of truth and the traders do come — but your matching, risk rules and accounting now have to bend to fit someone else's model.

Terminal Gateway removes the trader's half of that bill entirely. They keep the terminal they already use. You keep the book. And because the same account already lives on your platform, any trader who does want to move across can do it whenever they like — there is nothing left to migrate.

Architecture

Two directions, one source of truth

Everything your platform decides is projected into the terminal. Everything a client does in the terminal is submitted back for your platform to decide.

01 · Platform → Terminal

Whatever happens on your platform shows up in the client

Not a read-only mirror — the terminal reflects real, tradable state.

  • Market open, pending create, modify, close, partial close and close-by
  • Take-profit and stop-loss set, changed or cleared from your side
  • Balances, positions and order history stay aligned with your platform
  • Deposits, withdrawals and adjustments flow through the same path
  • Quotes are injected by you — the client sees your prices, not someone else's

What clients see: an entirely normal MT4 or MT5 — with your platform behind it.

Projection path

  • Your platform decidesFill, price, volume and time are settled on your side
  • Terminal Gateway projects itTranslated into the terminal's own order and position model
  • Terminal reflects itClient sees the order, the position and the updated balance
  • Result acknowledgedYour platform receives confirmation the projection landed
02 · Terminal → Platform

Nothing lands in the terminal without your approval

The client clicks buy. Your platform decides whether that becomes a trade.

  • Open, modify, close and cancel are intercepted before the terminal executes them
  • Your platform returns the decision; only then does Terminal Gateway apply it
  • Terminal-local stop-loss, take-profit and pending triggers are suppressed — the trigger belongs to you
  • The execution price comes from your platform, not from whatever the terminal was showing
  • Rejections are returned to the client as ordinary, understandable terminal errors

What you keep: matching, risk and accounting rules — not one line has to change.

Approval path

  • Client acts in the terminalBuy, sell, modify, close — an ordinary click
  • Terminal Gateway intercepts and forwardsThe request never reaches the terminal's own execution
  • Your platform decidesAccept with your price, or reject with your reason
  • Terminal Gateway applies the decisionThe terminal shows the final, authoritative result

Reliability

The hard part isn't the happy path

Two systems, one truth. What decides whether that works is what happens when a connection drops, a message arrives twice, or the two sides disagree.

Terminal Gateway is not a ledger

It stores no master data and owns no accounting truth. Your platform's order ID is the primary key; the terminal's ticket is only a mapped secondary key. The gateway can never disagree with your books — it has no books to disagree with.

Built for the bad day

Dropped connections, restarts and failovers are designed for, not hoped against. Nothing is lost, nothing executes twice, and both sides come back aligned. Full disaster recovery is built into the product, not sold as an add-on.

Your platform always wins

When the terminal's state and your platform's state disagree, your platform is right and Terminal Gateway realigns. There is no negotiation, and no case where the terminal quietly becomes authoritative.

Integration

Your platform doesn't change

Terminal Gateway connects to your platform over FIX 4.4 and adapts to your model — not the other way around. Nothing about your matching, risk or accounting is rewritten for us.

STEP 01

Connect your platform

Your platform joins as the truth source over FIX 4.4. We map your order, position and account model onto the terminal's, and confirm the semantics with your team before anything runs.

STEP 02

Install on your own MT server

The gateway is installed on the MT4 or MT5 server you already operate — your server licence and your broker configuration stay yours. Client terminals are untouched: traders download the same terminal they always did.

STEP 03

Go live gradually

Start with one group of accounts and run both directions against real behaviour. Widen once you've watched it stay consistent through disconnects and restarts.

Terminal Gateway attaches to an MT4 or MT5 server that you own and operate. We don't supply, host or resell MetaTrader server licences — everything stays under your own licence and your own broker setup.

Use cases

You own a trading platform. You want the terminal.

The common thread: the truth already lives in your system, and MetaTrader is the distribution you don't have.

Platform operators

You have a platform, not a terminal ecosystem

Exchanges, new venues and regional brokers who built their own trading system and now need a front-end traders will actually adopt without being retrained.

Migrating brokers

You want MetaTrader demoted to a front-end

You already run MT4 or MT5, but you want the truth to move to your own system — without a migration notice, a terminal change, or a single client having to do anything.

Multi-brand groups

One system behind several terminals

White-label and multi-brand operators who want a single source of truth sitting behind several MetaTrader servers, instead of one disconnected book per brand.

See a terminal running on someone else's platform

The fastest way to judge this is to watch it: a normal MetaTrader client, trading against a platform that isn't MetaTrader — orders, positions, balances and rejections, in both directions.

Tell us what your platform looks like and we'll walk through how it maps.
